FAQs

Can I file before I start using my mark?

Yes — that’s an Intent-to-Use filing. You’ll submit a Statement of Use (and possibly extensions) later.

It’s optional, but strongly recommended to reduce the risk of refusals or conflicts.

If it’s a procedural issue, I handle it at no extra charge. If it’s a substantive refusal, I’ll quote a tailored response strategy before proceeding.

You can use ® after your mark registers. Before that, you can use ™ to indicate you’re claiming rights.

Government filing fees are set by the USPTO and may also change independently. You will always receive a written fee quote before any work begins.
